Rental conditions
The rules that apply to every Auto Marrakech rental, from the booking request to the return of the car.
Driver
Minimum driver age: 21 years. Their licence must be at least 2 years old; the rule also applies to any driver added to the contract. They present their passport or identity card, as well as their original driving licence, when the vehicle is handed over.
Each additional driver must meet the same conditions and be declared at the time of booking. Only the people named on the contract are allowed to drive the car.
Booking and confirmation
Every rental starts with an online request stating the model you want, the handover district, the dates and your name and phone number. It is then confirmed on WhatsApp, where we check availability and the time and exact place of the handover.
No payment is requested online. The displayed price is a price per day, in euros. The options you choose (baby seat, additional driver…) appear separately before the request is sent.
Cancellation
You can cancel free of charge as long as there are more than 24 hours left before the key handover appointment. To cancel or change a booking, let us know by WhatsApp or by phone on 06 20 08 80 49.
Deposit
A deposit is requested when the vehicle is handed over. We give you the exact amount at confirmation on WhatsApp, before the keys are handed over.
At departure, the condition of the car is checked with you and photos are taken. The deposit is refunded after the return, once the vehicle has been inspected in the same way.
Insurance
Insurance is included in the rental. The details of the cover are given to you with the rental contract. Take the time to read it before leaving and ask us your questions if anything seems unclear.
Fuel
The car must be returned with the same fuel level as when it was handed over. This level is noted at departure, along with the condition of the vehicle.
Driving outside Marrakech
You can leave Marrakech and drive anywhere in Morocco with the rental car. Tell us your itinerary when booking or before setting off, especially for long trips.
Driving on the beach, in the dunes or on off-road tracks unsuited to the vehicle is forbidden. If you are unsure about the condition of a road, ask us for advice before taking it.
Delays and extensions
If you think you will return the car later than planned, or if you want to extend the rental, let us know as soon as possible on WhatsApp. We will then confirm the car's availability and the terms of the extension.
Breakdown, minor collision or simple doubt on the road: call or write to us, someone answers day and night.
Fines and offences
The driver is responsible for offences committed during the rental period, whether for speeding, parking or road signs. Fines linked to these offences remain at their expense.
Police checks and speed cameras are frequent in Morocco. Respect the limits: 120 km/h on motorways, 100 km/h on roads and 60 km/h in town, sometimes 40 depending on the signs.
